Hi, anybody help. Need to know if its possible to update or synchronize multiple adobe illustrator files. Example: A clients table menu prices are updated, but those menu prices need to be updated on say posters, takeaway menus etc, so how can one do that without the chore of opening multiple files and re-typing or even having to copy, paste and format whole chunks of text?
Maybe its possible to do something like this in quark or indesign?
One option: Text String variables
Hi Gary,
Illustrator's Text String variables may be what you need. I've never used them before, but there's quite a bit of information in Illustrator's Help. Adobe also published a variables how-to on their UK site:

QuarkXPress has a strong text-synchronizing feature, and it's possible to synch text in InDesign, too.
