In her article "Create Your Own Fonts: (http://www.creativepro.com/blog/typetalk-create-your-own-fonts), Ilene Strizver recommends the apps Fontographer, TypeTool, and FontLab Studio. In a comment on that article, a reader mentioned Font Forge as a free font creator.

Has anyone here used any of these apps? I'd love to hear your experiences.

I just came across a free online font editor called FontStruct:

It's the brainchild of the FontShop foundry. Check out some of the things people have created in the Gallery section. Pretty cool!

FREE fonts anyone?

Why have all the trouble creating fonts when you could download hundreds of fonts online? And these fonts can either be for windows or mac. I have been downloading from this site for years. And they offer cool fonts. Check this site here:
