In late December 2008, I drove from northern California to western Montana. Here's my favorite mental snapshot from that trip:
A row of rainbow-colored, 10-foot-tall inflatable palm trees outside a tiny, snow-covered casino. The orange palm tree had blown over and lay in the gravel parking lot.
If you have any snapshots (mental or actual) from your recent travels, post them here.

How to post snapshots?
I'd love to share a picture I recently captured, but I can't figure out how to include it. Please let me know how to post photographs. Thank you.

Favorite Snapshot
So many to pick from, but one of my favorites has to be a trip to Boston. Having time to waste I walked around the harbor area. I came across a very old tug boat that was in poor condition and badly needed paint. Walking around the side of the boat found an old painter who was busy making a portrait of this scene. I walked behind him on a walkway which was about 2 feet higher, giving a great angle of shooting over the shoulder of the painter to get the painter with his painting in the foreground while the old tug boat sat in the background. Anyway, I have always enjoyed the shot. WMB
How to include photos in the forums
Hi Jerry (and anyone else with this excellent question),
The simplest way to include photos is to upload them to something like flickr or Photoshop.com. Then you note the URL of that photo and use it in a very simple HTML string like this:
For example, CreativePro.com member Jennifer Wills posted one of her photos on Flickr at http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3180/3074872517_9facf1c054_m.jpg. If she wanted to have that photo show up in this forum thread, she'd type the following in the forum's Comment field:
And then this is what would show up:
