Does anyone know why Adobe chose to kill the Navigator panel in CS4? This new PowerZoom feature is simply a pain in the rear. Fine, include it., but why kill a feature panel?
Help! I unknowingly had a crazy preference in the stroke panel (that all dashed lines would by default have 12 point gaps) in my document set-up preference. I created a large document that carried this preference and I don't know how to change it. This preference doesn't show up in any of the preference settings I can find, only in the stroke panel when you select Type>Dashed. As it stands now, I have to manually change the gap distance of each line.
This may help, though it's hard to say without seeing your document:
Go to Window > Stroke to open the Stroke panel. Look for the Corners section at the bottom of the panel and choose "Adjust dashes and gaps" from the drop-down menu. In the boxes beneath that, you can manually control the size of the dashes *and* the gaps between them.
It's hard to remember the printing world without digital and impossible to figure how it would work without InDesign. CS4 brought this app to maturity and brought full unity with the other apps in Design Premium. Yes, it's hard but that's because of it's extensive power and diversity.

InDesign 3 tabs
The above posting was for InDesign 3 not 4.
Is InDesign CS4 worth it?
I'd like to hear from people who are already using CS4 whether they think the expense has been worth it. Details would be really helpful.

Dash Prefs
Thanks. I think I got it figured out now.
