Preflight your files online with Fixmyprintfile.com
Despite the growth in digital publishing, print will never die, and neither will the need for designers to create and deliver press-ready files. Likewise, having the time and knowledge of how to find and fix any potential print problems will always be a challenge. To aid with this challenge, Premedia Software Inc., created Fixmyprintfile.com, an online preflighting service with a pay-as-you business model.

With Fixmyprintmyfile.com, users just select their desired job options and upload their files. The system checks and fixes potential problems, and produces optimized PDF/X output, along with PDF and HTML log reports. If a file fails the preflight checks and cannot be fixed, Fixmyprintmyfile provides a report explaining why the file failed. There is no charge for corrupt files that cannot be processed.
Users can upload PDFs (single page or multi-page), EPS, PS, TIFF, and JPEG. Output can be either PDF/X-1a or PDF/X-4. Processed PDFs remain available for download as long as your account is active.
With the pay-as-you-go model, users purchase one of the preset page packages, ranging from 15 pages ($3.33 per page) to 300 pages ($1.50 per page). Each time a page is processed, it is deducted from the users account. If you’re interested in giving the service a spin, you can sign up and receive 3 pages for free.
